Language

English is the language used throughout the whole training course.

Lectures to be attended

Along with studies relating to the scholarship awardees?major, students are required to attend the following lectures to enhance their understanding of Korea: Korean language, Korean culture, advanced English course, R&D management, and Information Technology.

Requirements for graduation

The Awarding of the respective degrees is decided on the basis of the results of individual research and performance in the oral examination of his/her dissertation for the final board assessment. The candidate for Ph.D. degree is required to publish at least one paper in an internationally renown academic journal.
The candidate for a master's degree is required to publish at least one paper in an academic journal. The awarding of an M.S. degree is decided on the basis of the candidate's performance in the course of his/her dissertation. An international journal publication is not mandatory.
Students, who did not submit official English test scores when they were admitted, must submit the TOEFL score before graduation.
Fulfillment of two Korean classes (including class offered during orientation) is required.
Fulfillment obligations consist of either class attendance (a minimum of 75%) or passing the test.

Period

In general, it is expected that the candidate will complete the course within 2 years for M.S. degree and 3-4 years for Ph.D. degree.
