Dr. Jung has been the principal researcher in Catalysis Laboratory since 2003. The center focuses on the fundamentals and applications of Catalysis and Reaction Engineering. C1 chemistry such as methanol and DME synthesis from SynGas has been a major project in this laboratory since 1985. The other issue is hydrogen production by water-splitting. A thermochemical cycle and a PEC (photoelectrochemical cell) hydrogen production technology are studied. Specially, IS cycle is under the development with 21 years program. The hydrogen production and the PEC cell has been done in 21C Frontier Program. The structured catalyst research as well as the metal and metal oxide catalyst is developed and characterized.Dr. Jung is co-working with the professors in ChungbukUniversity, AjouUniversity and HanyangUniversity. He has published about 40 papers in SCI journals and 20 patents.
