Dr. Kim has been working with the Imaging Media Research Center (IMRC) at KISTas a principle research staff since 1998. The IMRC center focuses fundamentals and applications of new imaging technologies to novel mixed and virtual reality for future digital life. Implicit interaction technologies with multi-modal sensory information are also studied to develop intelligent environment for ubiquitous and context-aware computer processing. In addition, he has been interested in real-time vision processing with sensors and camera networks for the application of tangible spacetotele-presence and tele-existence. He has published about 70 papers in premier journals and about 20 patents.
