Dr. Kim has been the director of the Intelligent Microsystem Center (IMC) since 2004, which is one of the 21st century frontier R&D program sponsored by Ministry of Commerce, Industry & Energy (MOCIE). The final research goal of IMC is the development of endoscopic microcapsules and micro biomedical diagnostic system in the field of biomedical appliances through the intelligent microsystem technologies. Thee research fields of IMC are based on the technological fusion of MEMS, biological, biomedical, and nanotechnology. The personal research interests are MEMS based diagnostic system, BioMEMS, Biosensors/Chip, and piezoelectric MEMS devices.
