Dr. Joong Kee Lee is a principal researcher in Advanced Energy Materials Processing Laboratory. He received the Ph.D. degree in chemical engineering from Korea Advanced Science and Technology (KAIST), Seoul, Korea in 1993, performing research on carbon materials modification for nitrogen oxide removal catalyst. He worked as a KOSEF postdoctoral research fellow at University of Waterloo. His research interests have focused on the application of reaction engineering techniques to problems in surface modification, carbon composite and coating of carbonaceous films, and chemical vapor deposition (CVD) process. His specific interest includes deposition of metals or metal oxide films on the surface of plastic substrate at room temperature by ECR-MOCVD and fine particle coating by fluid suspension technology. Now his research team moves its research focus to the application of energy and information materials, for example, electrode materials of lithium secondary batteries and fuel cell, transparent conductive oxide film such as F doped tin oxide, zinc oxide. He has authored and coauthored over 100 publication and 25 patents. He is a member of American Chemical Society, and Material Research Society.
