Dr. Ryu has been a chief scientist of toxicology laboratory, and focused on the Cellular and Molecular Toxicology in relation to Food and Drug safety and Environmental Health. And he established and president of Korean Society of Toxicogenomics and Toxicoproteomics since 2004. And also he is a vice president of Korean Society of Environmental Toxicology. He pay attention to mechanism of action and biological relevance between human and chemicals using, for example, transgenic study, forward gene mutation, single cell gel electrophoresis and DNA chip studies. In addition, he has been interested in application of Toxicogenomics for integrated chemical safety controls in our real life. He has published above 150 papers in premier journals and about 20 patents.
